Dr. Vinod T. Gore is a senior surgical oncologist with nearly three decades of experience in advanced cancer surgery, robotic oncosurgery, and complex oncologic procedures. He currently serves as Department Head, Surgical Oncology at Sahyadri Manipal Hospital, Pune — a position he has held since the department's inception in 2009, having played a pioneering role in building its surgical oncology and robotic surgery capabilities from the ground up.
He is internationally trained in advanced robotic surgical techniques, holding the Fellowship in Advanced Robotic and Innovative Surgery (FARIS) from the University of Edinburgh. His robotic programme at Sahyadri Manipal Hospital is a designated Robotic Surgery Centre of Excellence and serves as an accredited FARIS training centre — where Dr. Gore mentors and trains surgical oncology fellows in advanced robotic procedures. These are two distinct and separate recognitions.
